Conundrum, defined, is a confusing and difficult problem or question.
It also is defined as a question asked for amusement, typically with a pun in its answer, such as a riddle. I love words that look and sound cool and this is one of my favorites. It came to me as I finished the painting and saw the maze-like look of the intersecting marks. This piece incorporates twists, turns, unexpected dead ends, and gradual fading much like a conundrum itself. Colors include neutral white, ivory, sepia, deep cobalt.
